Battery life can be termed as good-enough if not good. You are not going to get something like what your Nokia phones used to give, but you will get a decent battery back-up.
Will give you an enjoyable experience while playing games or watching your favorite video. Dont worry about tech-specs.
Does its job. Well, it might not give you clarity and depth of a DSLR but will produce high quality images which you can use on social media for sharing and for post card size print.
Its the brain of the Phone. One Plus 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 CPU. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 is the latest and most powerful processor at this point.

Every Android Phone you see in the Market is not exactly a true Android. Every smartphone maker puts an interface between Android and the Hardware of the phone. This interface in many cases is the culprit for slowing the phone down and keeping you away from experiencing blazing fast performance which the processor of your phone is capable of. Additional bloat-ware and extra applications are included by default which cannot be un-installed adding on to the irritation.
Official website of One Plus 3 says “We created Oxygen-OS with a simple goal: to perfect the balance between power and simplicity. We heard you like your OS clean, comfortable, and easy to use right out of the box. So do we. If you prefer to tinker, Oxygen-OS also includes an array of robust power features. Customization is still an important aspect of the Oxygen-OS game.”
True to its word, indeed the User gets a neat and clean OS (a rarity these days). The Phone also gives you an option to customize hardware buttons as per your convenience.
6 GB is an overkill. As an average user 2-3 GB of RAM is more than sufficient, you are never going to occupy all of the 6 GBs until you are an superman. RAM is the only storage which the processor of your phone can access. All data that you need from your phone to be displayed is loaded into the RAM for execution.
If your Phone has 2GB Ram. Then, even though your phone may have 8 / 16 / 32 / 64 / 128 GB of phone memory, processor of your phone has access to only 2 GB of RAM. Processor doesn’t know anything at all about those huge phone memories.
As an average user 6 GB is plenty. Seems, One Plus 3 has gone with the concept of more the merrier.
The makers of One Plus 3 have not given an option of expandable storage or an micro SD slot. Is this a cause of worry ?
Not at all. 64 GB is decent amount of space offered to an user for storing content.
Expandable storage and adds on to the bulk and slows the phone down. Thats the reason, it has been done away with.
Get a protective case for protection and for countering the effect of slight protrusion of camera.
* Note : Charging slot is of USB Type-C
There were some issues encountered by the Users while updating the Oxygen-OS. However, One-Plus is now seeding the Oxygen 3.2.1 update, which comes with a few more fixes in addition to 3.2 features. This update fixes some notification issues and a possible SIM recognition problem. Additional fixes provided are as follows :-
- Enabled sRGB mode in developer options
- Improved RAM management
- Improved GPS performance
- Enhanced audio playback quality
- Updated custom icon packs
- Improved camera quality/functionality
- Fixed some issues in Gallery
- Implemented latest Google security patches
- Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps
